Workings Behind A Diamond Simulant - Eclat by Oui Blog

Diamond simulants are an innovative blessing; they appear visually indifferent to the coveted diamond but circumvent the frivolous price tag and moral dilemmas that come with it. To most people, the process to achieving the perfect diamond simulant is shrouded in mystery. Don’t take our word for it though, take the time to read through this article and understand how diamond simulants are created. The confidence in our product will then follow.

Laboratory Made

At Eclat by Oui, our journey to creating the most exquisite diamond simulants begin in the depths of our Hong Kong factory. Our diamond simulants are made from a mixture of the highest purity zirconium dioxide in its crystalline form. It is professionally stabilized by the use of magnesium and calcium in order to create the most visually pleasing diamond simulants. It is void of any carbon diamond bonds in its creation; instead it is carefully cut to reflect the optical brilliance of diamonds. Due to the lack of crystalized carbon, diamond simulants chemically differ from naturally mined diamond. With a hardness of 8.5 on the Moh’s scale, our diamond simulants are comparable to the hardness of a natural Ruby or Sapphire gemstone. Regardless of their structural difference, our laboratory made diamond simulants accurately resemble natural diamonds and are leaps ahead of the common materials used in diamond simulants.

Cutting

The cut in any stone, regardless of natural or simulant, depends greatly on the harnessed skill of an experienced cutter. At Eclat by Oui, we engage some of the most experienced and skilled craftsmen. Upon evaluating the diamond simulant carefully, they will determine how much of the stone should be cut to produce a product with the highest clarity. Our craftsmen are trained with a keen eye and methodical mind. They take great care to ensure that all diamonds simulants are cut to pre-determined mathematical specification to allow the maximum amount of light to be reflected. Prior to approving a product, our skilled craftsmen will inspect each stone under a microscope to ensure our high quality standards are met.

After understanding the process in which these diamonds simulants are created, we hope that you can now make a more informed decision to buy our diamond simulant rings, bands, earrings, necklaces and bracelets online. At Eclat by Oui, we use the highest quality materials and employ the skills of experienced craftsmen to ensure that the product you receive is the best it can be.
